Manager- Hardware Shop

The manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Hardware shop, ensuring excellent customer service, efficient stock management, and smooth coordination of staff. The role requires a hands-on individual who is organized, customer-focused, and able to manage both sales and operations effectively.

Key Result Areas Roles and responsibilities
Customer Service · Attend to customers in a professional and friendly manner

· Provide product information and assist customers in making purchases

· Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback

Sales Tracking

 

· Record and monitor daily sales

· Prepare basic sales reports for the owner

· Ensure proper handling of cash and transactions

Stock Management · Track stock levels and maintain accurate inventory records

· Monitor fast-moving and slow-moving items

· Coordinate stock replenishment and report shortages

Administrative Duties · Maintain proper records of sales and stock

· Use basic computer systems for tracking and reporting

· Ensure compliance with shop policies and procedures

Daily Operations Management · Oversee and manage the daily running of the hardware shop

· Ensure the shop is clean, organized, and well-stocked at all times

· Open and close the shop as required

Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the direct supervisor from time to time.
Qualifications & Skills
· Minimum of a Diploma or equivalent (Business-related field is an added advantage)

· Proven experience in retail or hardware shop operations is preferred

· Basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel, POS systems)

· Strong organizational and multitasking skills

· Good communication and interpersonal skills

· Honest, reliable, and detail-oriented
